About us
At Life Beyond the Gate, we are committed to breaking the cycle of addiction and offending behaviour by providing structured support, safe accommodation, and access to specialist services.
We work closely with the individuals we support, helping them address the root causes of their challenges while building the skills needed for long-term independence. Our approach not only improves mental health and wellbeing but also creates safer, stronger communities by reducing reoffending, homelessness, and anti-social behaviour.
Through consistent support, positive relationships, and a focus on long-term outcomes, we empower individuals to move forward with stability, purpose, and hope.
Our Vision
“New Beginnings. Real Support. Lasting Change.”
Our vision is a society where ex-offenders with mental health needs are supported to live stable, independent lives and make positive contributions to their communities.
We recognise that every individual has inherent value and dignity. We are committed to supporting each person to realise their potential, build confidence, and move forward with purpose.
We work to break the cycle of addiction and offending behaviour by providing structured support, stability, and opportunities for personal growth. This leads to improved health and wellbeing for the individuals we support, while also contributing to safer communities through reduced crime, antisocial behaviour, and homelessness.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide safe, stable accommodation and high-quality, person-centred support to ex-offenders with mental health needs, enabling them to successfully reintegrate into the community and build independent, fulfilling lives.
We are committed to addressing the root causes of reoffending by delivering holistic support that includes access to mental health services, substance misuse recovery, life skills development, and meaningful community engagement. Through a structured and supportive environment, we help individuals stabilise, rebuild confidence, and develop the skills needed to sustain long-term change.
We work in partnership with statutory and community services to ensure continuity of care and coordinated support, recognising that successful rehabilitation requires a collaborative approach.
Ultimately, our mission is to break the cycle of reoffending, reduce homelessness, and create safer, more inclusive communities by empowering individuals to move forward with purpose and dignity.
